Claiming his marriage was 'irretrievably broken', the 32-year-old producer files the papers on February 17 just nine days before the 'Dip It Low' singer gave birth to daughter Violet.
Christina Milian was served divorce papers from her husband The-Dream nine days before she gave birth. The 32-year-old producer, real name Terius Nash, claimed his marriage was "irretrievably broken" in the papers, which were filed on February 17. The "Dip It Low" singer gave birth to daughter Violet just over a week later on February 26.
Earlier this month, The-Dream claimed he felt suicidal in the wake of his split from the singer after just five months of marriage. He blogged, "I've cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I've tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming. This is not to justify anything, it's true emotion! It's a real thing that involves real people!"
Christina and The-Dream married in the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, just a week before announcing she was pregnant with their first child together. He recently confessed to having spent little time with Violet since her birth, because Christina was protective of their daughter. He said, "Christina's very attached. She doesn't let anybody near that baby. Not even me sometimes!"
