The 'Nine' beauty has been spotted filming for 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' as she slips into her 'vicious and vivacious' role and joins Johnny Depp on the Hawaiian set.
Penelope Cruz has slipped into her pirate costume for "
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". On Monday, July 26, the Carla Albanese of "
Nine" has been spotted sporting a pirate's hat, knee length boots and long maroon coat as she got into her Angelica character on the Hawaiian set of the fourth "Pirates" movie.
During this day of filming on the island of Maui, the wife of
Javier Bardem was joined by her co-star
Johnny Depp as from the set popped out. One photo, in particular, captures her walking hand-in-hand with the actor who reprises his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Some other pictures also let out other cast members filming their part on the same day. Among them were
Geoffrey Rush and Kevin McNally. Geofrey reprised his role as Captain Barbossa and was seen donning blue coat and white gloves while holding onto what looks like a crutch, while Kevin once again portrayed Gibbs.
In this fourth installment of "Pirates of the Caribbean", 36-year-old Penelope takes on the role of Angelica, the daughter of evil Pirate Blackbeard. In a tape played during the movie's panel at 2010 San Diego Comic Con, her character has been described as "vicious and vivacious" by Johnny. The plot, additionally, unravels that Angelica will force Jack to aboard Blackbeard's ship the Queen Anne's Revenge.
"On Stranger Tides" will bring Captain Jack Sparrow to an unexpected adventure to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. Directed by Rob Marshall, the action fantasy movie also has Ian McShane, Stephen Graham and
Gemma Ward among the cast ensemble. Walt Disney Pictures eyes to release it in theaters across the U.S. on May 20, 2011.
