Cory Monteith to Co-Host 2010 Teen Choice Awards With Fellow 'Glee' Guys

The Finn Hudson of the musical comedy series along with co-stars Mark Salling, Chris Colfer, and Kevin McHale will help singer Katy Perry in hosting the awards show to be aired August 9.

Cory Monteith will be taking the stage to co-host the upcoming 2010 Teen Choice Awards. Along with other "Glee" male cast members Mark Salling, Chris Colfer, and Kevin McHale, the Finn Hudson of the musical comedy series has been tapped to help Katy Perry on the hosting duty for the annual teen awards show.

Expressed his excitement over the hosting gig, 28-year-old Cory himself confirmed the news through his Twitter page. He wrote, "Excited to co-host the TCA's!" He also asked fans to vote for "Glee" which is nominated for 13 categories at this year's Teen Choice. His tweet read further "If you want to vote for me and my gleeks it'd be much appreciated! just saying. thank youuuu ;)"

"Glee" is up for the Choice TV Show: Comedy award at 2010 Teen Choice Awards, which will take place on August 8, before being aired at 8 P.M. ET on FOX the next day. All of its male cast members received nominations, and so did their female co-stars, Jane Lynch and Lea Michele.

The "Twilight Saga" series leads the pack with 17 nominations, and Miley Cyrus followed behind with 13 noms. Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock, "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester and "Twilight Saga" casts Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene will attend the show, while Jason Derulo and Travis McCoy are set to perform.
