While Kristen may be out of the running for the role of Lisbeth Salander because of 'The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn' schedule, fellow candidate Natalie Portman is said turning down the offer.

Kristen Stewart is unlikely to join "
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)". E! News reported that the 20-year-old beauty seems to have let go any chance of her starring in the adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel because of "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn".
Talking about the "
Adventureland" actress, a source told E!, "Kristen Stewart is being considered [for the role], but she has not screen-tested." Putting the production date of "Dragon Tattoo", which is scheduled for the end of September, into consideration, the source mentioned, "It looks like she may be out of the running because of Twilight scheduling conflicts."
Strengthening the source's remark was a Summit Entertainment insider. "Don't think so," the inside source said when asked whether there is any chance Kristen
Daniel Craig. "Production dates are not firm, but it's still looking like 'Breaking Dawn' will start production in Louisiana in the fall, probably October or November."
Beside Kristen, another Hollywood beauty has also been counted out from the run to star as Lisbeth. While the star of "
Welcome to the Rileys" is likely not joining the movie due to scheduling conflicts, fellow candidate
Natalie Portman has been claimed to have turned down the offer to play the genius, troubled, bisexual female lead.
With both Kristen and Natalie out of the list, Entertainment Weekly claimed that the candidates for the female lead have been narrowed down to four newcomers. They are "
