In a promo video for Burr Steers's romantic fantasy, the '17 Again' heartthrob goes shirtless and shows off his well-built chest and biceps as he invites viewers to go behind his underwater scene.
Zac Efron has gone shirtless and wet in a promo video for his upcoming movie, "Charlie St. Cloud". In a featurette for the romantic fantasy, the "High School Musical" heartthrob strips off his shirt and jumps into a massive underground tank as he takes viewers to the behind the scenes of Tess' rescue by Charlie.
Of the huge tank, the 22-year-old actor says, "It takes up pretty much the whole stage. Underwater, there's this system, but you can actually hear voices underwater! I have no idea how it works." Though taking pride on his ability to hold his breath, he admits, "When there's elements involved like swimming through murky water, getting a certain piece of your vest snagged, very precise movements, it's hard to hold your breath."
Directed by Burr Steers, "Charlie St. Cloud" revolves around Charlie, an accomplished sailor who survives a tragic accident that takes his dreams with it. After his high-school classmate Tess returns home unexpectedly, he grows torn between honoring a promise he made and moving forward with newfound love.
Zac takes on the role of Charlie St. Cloud in this movie that is based on Ben Sherwood's 2004 novel. He is supported by a line of cast ensemble that include Amanda Crew, Kim Basinger, Ray Liotta and newcomer Charlie Tahan. Universal Pictures will release the movie in U.S. theaters on Friday, July 30.
