Reportedly due to enter Malibu Beach Recovery Center after being released from prison, the 'Machete' actress is expected to do things like yoga and meditation, and focus on a healthy nutritious diet.
Lindsay Lohan will reportedly enter a rehabilitation clinic offering "holistic" therapies. The 24-year-old actress is due to enter a treatment facility when she is released from prison as part of her sentence for breaching probation and her advisors are said to believe the Malibu Beach Recovery Center in California will be the perfect place for her to receive help for her alleged problem with prescription drugs.
Addiction specialist Marty Brenner, who is not connected to Lindsay, explained the center's treatment plans to Fox News. He said, "It's based on holistic types of treatment - things like yoga, meditation and focus on a healthy nutritious diet. It isn't a 12-step program, but it is a place that will probably be very good for Lindsay. Right now, any place that's going to help her detox and get off the prescription medications will be good for her."
According to the facility's website, Lindsay's treatment would include a special diet "based on the finest traditions of French cuisine" that bands white rice, white bread, potatoes, sugar and caffeine, and she would also be asked to take a series of "bio-active supplements" to complement an exercise program.
Although Lindsay is expected to serve less than two weeks of her 90-day jail sentence, experts believe she is unlikely to have her 90-day rehab stint cut short. Marty added, "In Lindsay's case, a 30-day program just isn't enough for her. The judge knows that, and won't be letting her off a day early."
The actress' legal representative did not respond for comment. Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in prison followed by a 90-day stint in rehab for violating the terms of probation set following her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI).
