Speaking up about what people think of him when it comes to romance especially after he broke up with Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift, Joe insists if hearts have been broken, they're usually his.
Joe Jonas has stood firm that he is no heartbreaker. Having endured failed romances with the likes of
Camilla Belle,
Demi Lovato and
Taylor Swift, the 20-year-old singer insisted he is the one who usually gets his heart broken in a relationship as he pointed out on
Jonas Brothers' songs as proof of his innocence.
"I know there's people out there who say I've been breaking hearts, but listen to our songs. They speak the truth," the middle member of the pop band said in an interview with Richard Ouzounian of Toronto Star. "If hearts have been broken, they're usually ours. What happens in our relationships winds up in our songs and haters will be haters."
Joe wasn't the only one talking about romance during the chat. His younger brother
Nick Jonas, who has parted ways with ex-girlfriends
Miley Cyrus and
Selena Gomez, also opened up about embracing life as a single man. "I'm not necessarily a loner, but being alone is not such a terrible thing," he said. "I enjoy being single right now, being on my own."
When the subject turned to solo career, Joe assured that it won't break up the Jonas Brothers. The Shane Gray of "
Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" explained, "We're staying true to who we are, man. We're a band of brothers and you can't break that apart, no matter what you try to do." Nick later added, "I want the Jonas Brothers to be together for a long, long time. I'm committed to the group."
