When talking about the story line of his new love interest on The CW series, the actor who stars as Nate Archibald spills, 'She's obviously a raging, conniving mean girl at the end of it'.
Chace Crawford has spilled the beans on what to expect from
Katie Cassidy on the upcoming season of "Gossip Girl". Discussing about the new love interest of his Nate Archibald character, the 25-year-old actor shares that Katie's Columbia University student character will be among other traits, "conniving".
When met at the New York City premiere of his gritty drama "
Twelve" on Wednesday, July 28, the former boyfriend of
Carrie Underwood told MTV News, "She's obviously a raging, conniving mean girl at the end of it." He continued on, "She sort of does her thing, They can't be straight-up but she's fun, her character."
Though calling Katie's character "conniving" and "mean", Chace has nothing but good words about the "Melrose Place" beauty herself. The Tyler Simms of "
The Covenant" declared, "Katie's great!" He went on to say, "I know Katie, so she just got in [and] she just started like three weeks ago and I think 10 or 12 episodes she's here for."
Previously, co-star
Leighton Meester has also weighed in on the on-screen romance between Chace and Katie's. "I think she's coming on the show, maybe, to cause a little bit of trouble," she told MTV News. "She might not say it, but I will. I think she's very much capable of that, at least in the show. I think [Nate's] a total playboy and needs to be single and I think [Katie's character] is a bad girl, so maybe they are good for each other, actually."
