The 'Sucker Punch' beauty joins a line of cast ensemble that include Nicole Scherzinger for the rehearsals at the Hollywood Bowl, and praises director Neil Patrick Harris during the break.
Vanessa Hudgens has been kept busy practicing for her role as Mimi in rock musical "Rent", and several sneak peek at her rehearsing with the rest of the production's cast ensemble have been brought forth. In both behind-the-scenes videos, the former "High School Musical" star gets in line consisting of Nicole Scherzinger and many other cast members as they sing in harmony.
During a break from the rehearsals that takes place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California, the 21-year-old beauty made time to talk with Entertainment Tonight (ET) and Broadway World about being a part of the musical production. She, in particular, talked to ET about boyfriend Zac Efron, "He's very inspiring and supportive."
In the interview, Vanessa also praised Neil Patrick Harris in his work as the musical's director. To ET, she gushed, "He's very eloquent and he's such an actor's director because obviously he was an actor before so he knows how to get his point across." She added, "He has such an amazing spirit about him that really gives light to everyone."
"Rent" will be played at the Hollywood Bowl for three performances only from August 6 to 8. While Vanessa gets to play Mimi, The Pussycat Dolls' Nicole will portray Maureen. They are filling up the cast that also include Wayne Brady, Aaron Tveit, Skylar Astin and Tracie Thoms.
