Mary-Kate Olsen Won't Wish Her Upbringing on Anyone

Though she admits that she has no regrets about her childhood stardom, the twin sister of Ashley Olsen insists that she wouldn't ever want anyone else to go through what she faced as a youngster.

Mary-Kate Olsen wouldn't wish her upbringing on anyone. The 24-year-old actress, who became a child star from birth with her twin sister Ashley, when they appeared in TV show "Full House", has no regrets about her childhood stardom but wouldn't ever want anyone else to go through what she faced as a youngster.

"I look at old photos of me, and I don't feel connected to them at all," she said. "I would never wish my upbringing on anyone... but I wouldn't take it back for the world."

Mary-Kate and Ashley went on to star in a number of TV shows as children, from "Two of a Kind", to the video series "The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley". However, the pretty actress has had a difficult few years, being treated for an eating disorder in 2004 and having to deal with the death of her close friend Heath Ledger in 2008.

Although she refuses to go into details about these events, the actress admits she has coped with tougher days by talking about her emotions and staying close with her sister Ashley. She explained to America's Marie Claire magazine, "I think it's really important to be able to talk when something's wrong. I learned at a really young age that if you don't talk about it, it can drive you insane."

"Sometimes Ash and I have to bring each other back, or push each other more. It's really helpful to have another half, we're constantly checking in with each other."
