Jackson Rathbone Eager to Play The Riddler in 'Batman 3'

Joseph Gordon-Levitt isn't the only actor interested in the supervillain character since the 'Twilight Saga' hunk recently gushes, 'That is the kind of role I like. I like character parts.'

Jackson Rathbone has spoken up about his interest in portraying The Riddler in the third "Batman" movie. The Jasper Hale of the "Twilight Saga" has recently revealed to the Hollywood Life that he would say yes in a heart beat should he get the offer to play the supervillain character in Christopher Nolan's untitled Batman 3 project".

Met at Melanie Segal's T.J. Maxx-sponsored Celebrity Retreat on Wednesday, August 5, the 25-year-old actor said, "Are you kidding me? I would do that at the drop of a hat!" He continued on as he joked, "I'm not going to take my hat off now, but that would be awesome." On the serious note, he explained, "That is the kind of role I like. I like character parts."

Setting eyes on The Riddler, the co-star of Robert Pattinson additionally mentioned that he won't follow Robert's footsteps in being lead man in romantic movies. "The only roles I don't like are the romantic leading man parts," he unraveled. "You know, at the end of the day, I like playing the stranger character. I like playing to the extremes of the human psyche and like to expand myself through art."

During the interview, Jackson also dished about his hope about the possibility that his Jasper Hale character in the "Twilight Saga" series will have his own spin-off. "Id like to see 'Twilight Origins: the Jasper Story'! That is is what I am pitching," he said. "I want to get back to the civil war vampire army mode. That was so much fun to film in 'Eclipse'."

While the actor who plays Sokka in "The Last Airbender" dreams on taking on The Riddler role, "Inception" stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy have allegedly been tossed in as the candidates for the part. FirstShowing, additionally, mentioned that Joseph, in particular, is being listed as "interested" on the casting grid.
