The Jonas Brothers have finally kicked off their summer tour on Saturday night, August 7. Taking the stage in front of a crowd of screaming fans gathering at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois, the pop rock trio began their set with "Feeling Alive", "Hold On" and "Year 3000" .
As the band made a transition to sing the songs from their upcoming TV movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam", Joe Jonas pumped up the crowd, "How are you guys doing tonight? You excited for 'Camp Rock 2' ?" Accompanied by dancers, he and brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas then delivered a number of songs from the soundtrack.
The band's concert opener, Demi Lovato, later joined them on stage to sing "This Is Me", the fourth single from "Camp Rock" soundtrack. Before the 17-year-old beauty bid the crowd good night, she joined Joe in singing "Wouldn't Change a Thing", their new duet from the soundtrack of "Camp Rock 2".
During this kick-off gig, the brothers also delivered a performance of "L.A. Baby" from their TV series, "Jonas L.A.". They also covered The Beatles' "Drive My Car", and gave Nick, the youngest member of the band, a chance to play his single "Who I Am". They wrapped up the gig with "S.O.S." and "Burnin' Up".
Nick himself has resorted to his Twitter account to express his excitement about the gig. He started with a tweet that read, "Opening day of the tour today! So excited!" After the performance, the ex-boyfriend of Miley Cyrus posted another tweet that read, "Amazing first show!!! So amazing to be back on stage with my brothers!"
Jonas Brothers continued their summer tour to support "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" on Sunday night, August 8 in Nobelsville, Indiana. The U.S. and Canadian leg of the tour is expected to wrap up in September.
