Admitting through Twitter that he and partner David Burtka are indeed expecting 'twins this fall', the 'How I Met Your Mother' star hopes 'the press can respect' their privacy.
Neil Patrick Harris has confirmed he is indeed expecting to have twins through his Twitter account. On Saturday morning, August 14, the "How I Met Your Mother" star has made use his Twitter account to set things right by tweeting, "So, get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall. We're super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy..."
It was E! News that brought the attention about the baby news in the first place. Earlier on the same day, the site has claimed that the 37-year-old actor and his chef and actor partner David Burtka are going to be parents of twin babies due this October via surrogate. A source added to E! that the couple "have put baby shower plans in motion."
It wasn't the first time for Neil and David, who have been together for six years, were hit with reports of them expecting. Last year, Star magazine reported that the actor, who is nominated for three Emmys for "How I Met Your Mother", and his 35-year-old partner "had visited a surrogacy agency in L.A. to get the ball rolling on expanding their family."
