Sister: Hilary Duff's Wedding Filled With 'Beautiful Memories'

After serving as maid of honor at Hilary's sunset nuptials to hockey player Mike Comrie, Haylie Duff takes it to her Twitter to share about her actress sister's big day.

Hilary Duff's wedding was "beautiful". The singer-and-actress tied the knot with hockey player Mike Comrie in a sunset ceremony in Santa Barbara, California on Saturday, August 14 with her sister Haylie Duff as maid of honor and the actress was delighted to share in her sibling's big day. Hayie tweeted, "What a special weekend filled with love and beautiful memories."

Hilary, 22, who wore a strapless mermaid-style dress by renowned wedding gown designer Vera Wang, was walked down the aisle by her mother Susan Duff and was accompanied by five bridesmaids, including Haylie. One guest at the wedding agreed with Haylie, saying "It was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen. Absolutely stunning. They thought of every last detail and it was an incredible sight."

The couple, who started dating in 2007, got engaged in February after Mike, 29, proposed in Hawaii. The pair exchanged vows at the sprawling Villa La Quinta estate just outside of Santa Barbara, where Hilary walked down a candlelit aisle covered in white roses, and spent their first night as a married couple at the famed San Ysidro Ranch nearby.

According to a source, the couple chose the ranch, where the late American President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie spent their honeymoon, for "its sense of old Hollywood glamor and romantic style."
