The Ron Weasley of the 'Harry Potter' series has his fans singing to him the traditional song to mark his 22nd birthday during a Q and A session to promote 'Cherrybomb' at an Apple store in London.
A day before he turned 22 years old, Rupert Grint has been made speechless by his fans. The Ron Weasley of the "Harry Potter" series was sung "Happy Birthday to You" by the crowd gathering at an Apple store in Regent Street, London on Monday, August 23 for a Q&A session to promote his movie "Cherrybomb".
Leading the fans in singing the traditional song for Rupert was the event's moderator BBC Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman. The co-star of Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in the "Potter" series, who sits next to Edith on stage in the meantime, could not hold back his wide grin from his face as the room was filled with the song.
Before coming to the Apple store for the Q&A, the "Wild Target" actor hit the Santum Soho Hotel in London, England to follow a meet and greet session with several lucky fans. The event was held in conjunction to the celebration of the DVD release of his drama movie "Cherrybomb", which was released in the U.K. in April 2009.
"Cherrybomb" itself revolves around best friends, Luke and Malachy, who become each other's worst enemies when stunning Michelle unexpectedly moves to town. With a resistance to boredom, Michelle seductively encourages a dirty competition for her heart. What was supposed to have been a relaxing vacation transforms into a wild ride of drinking, drugs, sex and a deadly end to the competition.
