The 'You Belong With Me' hitmaker sits down to talk about the music video for her lead single off 'Speak Now' and discusses topics from the wedding scene to the casting of her look-alike.
A sneak peek at CMT's 30-minute live special before the official premiere of Taylor Swift's music video for "Mine" has been brought forth. Nearly 30 seconds long, the snippet takes a look at the sit down with the country star as she talks about the lead single off her third studio album "Speak Now" and its music video.
The video opens with footage of the 20-years-old songstress twirling around in a bright blue mini dress for a photo shoot. She later discusses various topics from learning for the first time her new single has topped iTunes to what the video has to offer as well as the casting of her look-alike to play a younger her in the video.
Featuring "Black Swan" actor Toby Hemingway, "Mine" music video is set to debut on Friday, August 27 at 8:30 PM EST on CMT, MTV and VH1, along with MTV International sites. MTV will thereafter debut the video during it's primetime lineup at 9 P.M., while VH1 will air it on it's VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown at 9 P.M. on Saturday, August 28.
Director Roman White, in the meantime, has dished on the making of the video to MTV. "We shot the video in early July in Maine, and it was insanely hot," he recalled. "The first day we shot at this private estate. They had a private beach and everything, which made shooting a lot easier, because when you go out in public and somebody spots Taylor Swift, I mean, it doesn't take 15 minutes and there's a huge crowd."
Roman went on to explain, "The beach shot we shot was mostly her and Toby falling in love. It was more kind of walking hand in hand along the coastline, and then later on in the video, we kind of mimic that same beach. But it's Toby and older Taylor, and older Taylor has shorter hair. That's pretty much it." On working on the video, he said, " 'Mine' was a very hard song. The song has a lot of dark elements, but it also has a lot of happy elements."
