The 'Cowboy Casanova' singer and the 'Then' crooner have been tapped for the third time to co-host the Country Music Association awards which will be held on November 10 this year.
Carrie Underwood will once again team up with
Brad Paisley for a hosting gig at the Country Music Association Awards. On Thursday morning, August 26 in Nashville, Tennessee, it was announced that the "Cowboy Casanova" singer and the "Then" crooner will serve as this year's co-hosts, marking their third time in a row in taking the job.
After the announcement, Carrie who were recently tied the knot with hockey star Mike Fisher told the press, "There's so much talent in one room. You won't watch the performances and go away disappointed." Her co-host Brad, in the meantime, bragged, "I think it's our Oscars. That's the best way I can describe it."
"Country music is such a wide spectrum these days, and it really always has been," Brad added. "Any time someone is a new viewer, they are very pleasantly surprised at what they relate to - and what they like that they may have had no interest in prior. I think it's the most important night of the year for country music for that reason alone. You reach all of these new people."
In addition to his statement to the press, Brad also took to his Twitter account to respond to the hosting gig announcement. "Those crazy nutty CMAs have asked Carrie and I to host again," he tweeted. He continued on expressing his excitement by posting "Here we go. The comedic stylings of Carebrad. Or Paisleywood. Or Underpaisley."
The 44th annual CMA Awards will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on November 10.
Some of this year's CMA nominations will be announced on Tuesday, August 31, while the remaining categories will be revealed on Wednesday, September 1 on "Good Morning America".
