Saying the 'Breakeven' hitmaker are more concerned about the music they produce, frontman Danny O'Donoghue claims, 'We left cool behind a long f****** time ago.'
The Script "don't care" about being cool. The "Breakeven" hitmaker insist they are more concerned about the music they produce than how their image is perceived by other people. Frontman Danny O'Donoghue said, "To be honest, we don't care what anybody thinks of us. We left cool behind a long f***ing time ago. We did! To give honest and heartfelt music, you have to. The song is king. If you look after the song, the song will look after you."
The "Man Who Can't Be Moved" group are also proud of the fact they are still able to go out in public without being recognized, despite achieving chart success in Europe, Australia and the U.S. Danny added, "The industry is like, 'Let's blow this face up as big as it possibly can get,' Then bang - it blows up. But that's what we're proud of."
"We don't like the way we look. We're not an image-driven band, never have been. We're not a self-gratifying band either. We don't put our own image on our own albums just so people know it."
