The new promo for season two of the FOX hit series sees the 'Pyramid' singer's exchange student character having a singing battle with Rachel Berry in a bathroom.
Another promo video for season two of "Glee" has been released, uncovering a glimpse at Charice as an exchange student in McKinley High that offers some challenges for Lea Michele's Rachel Berry. In a snippet inside the promo, the "Pyramid" hitmaker is seen facing off Rachel in a singing battle in a bathroom.
Introduced by "Bones" star Emily Deschanel and Tamara Taylor, the one-and-a-half minute clip also lets out a premise that Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester and Matthew Morrison's Will Schuester will become frenemies. A glimpse of John Stamos as Emma's dentist and Dianna Agron's Quinn Fabray trying out for Cheerios squad are included as well.
18-year-old Charice herself has previously described her character as the one who will give serious competition to Rachel. She said, "All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry?" The Philippine-born singer gushed, "So of course there is tremendous pressure."
Season two of "Glee" will be kicked off with an episode titled "Auditions" on Tuesday, September 21. Some new faces challenging old ones in Glee club auditions. Series creator Ryan Murphy previously said the episode is "about the idea that everybody, even if you're not in high school, your daily life is an audition for something."
