James Franco Often Pleasures Himself When Alone

'When I'm alone, I do masturbate a lot. ... I tend to have a four- or five-time day,' admits the leading man of '127 hours' in recent interview.

James Franco masturbates "four or five times a day." The Hollywood actor, who has been in a relationship with actress Ahna O'Reilly since 2006, admitted that he pleasures himself so often because he is alone a lot.

"I spend a fair amount of time alone, especially when I travel for work or whatever, but I'm in hotels a lot for a lot of my life. So, when I'm alone, I do masturbate a lot," he said. "I don't know why."

"It's like you have those days where it's just like, I have a ton of writing to do, or a ton of reading to do, and you're just like, OK, I'm going to be on the couch all day or in bed all day just doing that... I tend to have a four- or five-time day."

James, who plays Aron Ralston, the mountain climber who became famous after being forced to amputate his own arm when it became trapped under a boulder, in new movie "127 hours" depicts the climber as resorting to masturbation during his ordeal.

Speaking about why the climber never talked about it, he told The Hollywood Reporter, "He's kind of a gentleman, I guess he doesn't talk about that stuff. I think he also didn't want his mom to read it." However, 32-year-old James revealed he has no reservations about it, saying "I probably would have if I was stuck under a rock."
