Having said he plans to release his solo effort in February 2011, the Will Schuester of 'Glee' spills he has worked together with the former NSYNC member for a song titled 'Dancing in the Rain'.
Although he has to fit recording in between filming for season two of "Glee",
Matthew Morrison has set eyes on when he wants to see his debut album in stores. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Will Schuester of the FOX's hit series is hoping to release the solo effort on Mercury in February 2011.
"I'm about three-quarters of the way done with the album," the 31-year-old actor/singer gave out his progress on the set. "During our hiatus was the big chunk of putting it together - it's full-time 'Glee' right now. I'm trying to do it on the weekends." He also opened up he puts up hope for a tour once the album wraps.
On who he brought in for the effort, Matthew spilled that he has enlisted the help of JC Chasez, on one song. Met at the "Glee" season two premiere party on Tuesday night, September 7 in Los Angeles, he told MTV, "I just did this great song last week with JC Chasez that was very, very cool. It turned out really well. He's such a good songwriter."
Though he didn't spilled to much on his collaboration with the former
NSYNC member, the actor who portrays Link Larkin in the Broadway version of "Hairspray" did mention the title of the song. "It's called 'Dancing in the Rain'," he shared, before stressing, "not 'Singing in the Rain', but 'Dancing in the Rain'."
On other collaborations, Matthew shared, "It's very eclectic. I'm doing some great duets. I can't release who they're with yet, [but it's] some people that you've probably heard of before, that you've definitely heard of before." As for the sound of his album, he explained, "It's gonna be a little adult contemporary. And there's gonna be some pop songs that you can shake your moneymaker to in the club."
