Announcing she is 'about to say goodbye to twitter', the 'Camp Rock' beauty reasons, 'the access that the other people have is uncomfortable to me.'
Demi Lovato may follow the footsteps of Miley Cyrus in ditching Twitter. Most recently, the Sonny Munroe of "Sonny With a Chance" shared with her followers that she is about to say goodbye to the micro-blogging service. In a tweet, she explained, "I love my fans so much but the access that the other people have is uncomfortable to me."
The 18-year-old songstress followed with another posting that simply read, "Twitterbreak. Peace." It is still unclear whether she will only take a break from tweeting or will be deleting the account altogether like what Miley did in late 2009. Nonetheless, less than two hours after making the announcement, she wrote to Eva Longoria, "@EvaLongoria and I have yours!! Thank you mama. Love you!"
Before coming up with the Twitter goodbye statement, Demi made use of the social networking site to explain why she missed out on her meet and greet session in Tampa, FL. In a series of tweets, she said, "I didn't cancel my meet and greet.. I was so disappointed when I wasn't able to sing to and meet my fans tonight.. For safety reasons we couldn't follow through.."
Demi and the Jonas Brothers were forced to cancel their concert at 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheater because of flash flooding in the Tampa area. Hours leading to the cancellation, the "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" beauty shared pictures of the flooding in the front row and backstage.
