Months after he tells Kristen to quit acting if she can handle the fame, the Seth Cohen of 'The O.C.' clears up the air by addressing the issue and admits he 'sounded like a jackass'.
Adam Brody has addressed the issue of him telling Kristen Stewart to quit acting if she can't handle the fame. Approximately two months after he sparked a firestorm with the comment he made Diablo Cody's online chat show "Red Band Trailer", the Seth Cohen of "The O.C." cleared up the air, admitting he sounded "very ungentlemanly".
"I, no, I just, I, this is horrible," 30-year-old Adam told MTV when being interviewed about his upcoming film "The Romantics". He continued, "It wasn't taken out of context. I saw [the episode] and thought I sounded like an idiot. I did. Regardless of how anyone else took anything, I would think that sounds very ungentlemanly and I sounded like a jackass."
Back in July, the detective Hoss of "Scream 4" has lit a hate-on-Adam-Brody campaign after host Diablo Cody asked whether he wished he could just be an actor apart from being famous or not, as Kristen wished. He answered, "It's a shame because at certain times it's amazing. It's only gotten worse, I'm sure, being a celebrity."
"But at the same time I don't have a lot of patience for people who moan about it too much," Adam said further. "Cause there are many things you could do and you know you mentioned... [Kristen] and it's like quit, f***ing quit. You don't need to be an actress. If it's that much of a problem, there's the door."
