Alicia Keys Has Given Birth, Names Baby Boy Egypt

Alicia's representative confirms the 'Doesn't Mean Anything' hitmaker and husband Swizz Beatz have indeed welcomed their first child together, Egypt Daoud Dean, on Thursday night,October 14.

Alicia Keys has become a mother to a newborn baby boy named Egypt Daoud Dean. The happy news has been confirmed by her representative, who detailed that the 29-year-old R&B singer has given birth to her first child with music producer husband Swizz Beatz in New York City on Thursday night, October 14.

Media Take Out reported that the Jay-Z's collaborator in "Empire State of Mind" checked herself into New York's St-Luke's Roosevelt hospital. The site also noted that the singer, who once took a tumble while performing on stage during her pregnancy, is "holed up in a special 'celebrity' section of the maternity ward reserved for VIPs."

32-year-old Swizz, who tied the knot with Alicia in a private ceremony on the Mediterranean Sea back in July, couldn't contain his happiness in welcoming another son into this world. Using his Twitter account, he expressed his gratitude by writing, "I'm so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww!" He has three other children from previous relationships.

Congratulating the couple for the birth of their son, fellow artist Busta Rhymes tweeted, "CONGRATS 2 MY BROTHER AND SISTER @THEREALSWIZZZ & @AliciaKeys 4 bringing the life of a future King into the universe.Love, light & blessings." R&B singer Mary J. Blige also tweeted, "I'm So excited 2 Congratulate my brother @ therealswizzz and @Alicia keys on there New, baby, boy!!!!!!!"
