When "Supernatural" is back with a new episode in two weeks time, Jared Padalecki will be seen having a tense moment with on-screen brother Jensen Ackles. A sneak peek at the episode titled "Caged Heat" has been shared, and offers a scene wherein Sam gives a cold fact to Dean when confronted about working with demon once again.
A few days earlier, executive producer Sera Gamble has said that fans should expect "a new sort of brotherly rapport" will develop between Sam and Dean. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she spilled, "I can only speak for myself, but I kind of find it charming and enjoyable in its own twisted way."
Elaborating the statement, the showrunner went on to say, "I would never say that it replaces the core relationship that we all love and we all want them to go back to and that Dean is desperately trying to recapture, but for where we are with the story right now, there's something sort of interesting and fun happening."
"Caged Heat" will air on December 3 on The CW. In it, Meg kidnaps Sam and Dean and tries to force them to tell her where Crowley is hiding. Sam makes her a deal, promising they will help her find Crowley if she agrees to torture him for information about how to get Sam's soul back. Castiel joins the fight but finds it difficult to work with Meg.
