The official trailer for "The Tree of Life" has finally been made available online. Courtesy of Apple, the promo video for this drama movie chronicles the life journey of a Midwestern family's eldest son named Jack. Most of the footage focus on the childhood year of Jack, offering glimpses on how stern Brad Pitt can be as a father in the 1950's.
Jack finds himself a lost soul in the modern world. Growing up in the Midwest during the 1950s, he innocently views the world as something that is full of wonder. But, when he begins to see some of life's suffering, he starts to see it as a labyrinth he cannot escape. Seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith, he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father.
"The Tree of Life" comes from the hand of "The Thin Red Line" director/screenwriter Terrence Malick. Sean Penn stars as the adult Jack, Brad takes the role as Jack's father and Jessica Chastain plays Jack's mother. This drama movie has been set to come out in theaters across the United States on May 27, 2011.
