Newly Single Vanessa Hudgens Celebrates Birthday in High Spirits

At the bash she held at Las Vegas' Pure Nightclub for her 22nd birthday, the 'Sucker Punch' beauty admits things are 'good' between her and ex-boyfriend Zac Efron post-split.

Splitting from Zac Efron apparently doesn't hinder Vanessa Hudgens from partying up a storm. People magazine reported that the "Sucker Punch" star was seen in high spirits, smiling and dancing on a couch with BFF Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow, when celebrating her 22nd birthday at Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For the Saturday, December 18 bash, the former "High School Musical" star donned a silver metallic dress by Pleasure Doing Business, and was presented with a three-tiered floral birthday cake. She was also seen snacking on some red velvet cupcakes. On her companion for the night, she told Us Magazine, "They're my best friends. I got to have my girlfriends."

About the bash itself, Vanessa's gal pal Brittany shared her excitement through Twitter. "Vegas baby. VEGAS! I have a lil feelin this is gunna be one crazy trip," the actress who split form beau of two years Ryan Rottman in November tweeted. "Work hard, play hard."

Before having a more private party with her friends, Vanessa took time to speak up about her current state of relationship with Zac. When questioned on how things are going on between her and the "Charlie St. Cloud" star, the "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" actress simply told People mag, "We're good".

The "Beastly" actress further explained that although 2010 saw the end of her romance with Zac, it was still a good year for her. She said, "I worked a lot in 2009. I did two movies back to back, so this year I just hung out, took it easy, did a play which was a lot of fun, did a movie and now the year is coming to an end before I know it."
