The 'Only Girl (In the World)' hitmaker and her baseball star boyfriend allegedly end their romance over the last few weeks because Matt 'just can't keep up with her crazy travel schedule'.
Rihanna has possibly gone back to the single market again. After dating her baseball star boyfriend Matt Kemp for nearly a year, the Barbadian beauty has reportedly ended her romance with him. An insider close to the "Only Girl (In the World)" hitmaker reveals to Us Magazine, "It happened over the last few weeks. She basically was just over it."
Offering reasons behind the break-up, the inside source explains that 26-year-old Matt "just can't keep up" with the "Rude Boy" singer's crazy travel schedule. The insider says, "Matt's sick of always following after her like a puppy dog all over the world. He wants something more normal." The source then claims, "It was never as serious as it looked. It was always just [about] having fun."
22-year-old Rihanna and the Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder have previously played coy on their relationship after they were first spotted together on their vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in late January. However, Rihanna has finally opened up about the romance when she visited
Ryan Seacrest's radio show in April. At that time, she admitted, "He's my boyfriend."
In June, the "What's My Name?" singer, who dated Matt after she split from
Chris Brown, gushed that her baseball star boyfriend has kept her "sane". She said, "I have a boyfriend. I'm so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it's so easy." She went on, "I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family."
