A short while after the blurry, scanned photo from 'Captain America: The First Avenger' made its rounds, Entertainment Weekly lets out a better look at the hero in his tricked-out airman's jumpsuit.
A better look
Chris Evans wearing the full Captain America suit for "
Captain America: The First Avenger" has been shared. A short while after a blurry, scanned version of it found its way out, Entertainment Weekly (EW) released the clean and clear photo which is included in the magazine's newest issue that will hit newsstands on Friday, January 14.
It has been explained earlier that Chris' costume has different design from the classic Captain America get-up. The new one was made to resemble a tricked-out airman's jumpsuit with a modest-size of the "A" on the helmet and star on the chest. Explaining the changes, director Joe Johnston told EW in previous issue, "You can't really take him seriously in his flag pajamas."
In an article accompanying the photo, EW took note that the actor playing Lucas Lee in "
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" needed 25 minutes to put on all the red, white and blue outfit. Costume designer Anna Sheppard revealed, "He likes to do it all by himself." She added, "I think it helps him feel like a super hero."
"Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers signs up for Project: Rebirth, an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. It has
Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones and
Samuel L. Jackson among the cast, and set for July 22, 2011 release in the United States.
