The 'Love and Other Drugs' actor has surprised many when he brought ex-girlfriend Jenny Lewis to the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, but the date is said to be strictly platonic.

Jake Gyllenhaal has sent media buzzing when he brought along ex-girlfriend Jenny Lewis to the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 16. Life & Style magazine, however, shot down speculation that the "Love and Other Drugs" star might be rekindling romance with the Rilo Kiley singer.

According to Life & Style, the Sunday night date was strictly platonic. A source told the publication that the 30-year-old actor and the singer, who currently is a part of the duo Jenny & Johnny, went to the fete as friends. The source further added, "Jake and Jenny haven't dated for years. They're still friends, and they went as friends."

It was said that there was no chance that Jake might try to rekindle romance with the former child actress since she is still dating musician Johnathan Rice. "Jenny and Johnny [musician Johnathan Rice] have been together a long time," the source said. "They just released a record together in the summer. They haven't broken up."

A day before going to Golden Globes, the ex-boyfriend of Taylor Swift attended the Art of Elysium "Heaven" Gala and was reported setting his eyes on Camilla Belle. "They hung out together the entire night," an eyewitness told Radar Online. "They were talking intimately, and laughing. There really seemed to be chemistry, a connection."

The observer went on to note that the Hollywood star and the ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas "were flirting all night." The inside source additionally said, "And before he left, I saw him very affectionately touching her arm. She is definitely his type."
