The 'Scream 4' star credits her pole dancing routine for her slim figure, adding that 'it's also a good way to build confidence.'
Though some may consider pole dancing is raunchy,
Emma Roberts does not hesitate to do it as part of her exercise. "I started taking [pole dancing] classes with friends as a way to both work out and hang out," the 20-year-old beauty tells Women's Health magazine.
Emma, who graces the cover of the magazine's April issue to be published March 14, even credits her pole dancing routine for helping her to stay slim and boost her confidence. "You don't realize how much upper-body strength you need. It's also a good way to build confidence," she adds.
But pole dancing is not the only thing Emma does to maintain her lean body. "When I was younger, I would eat whatever I wanted," the "
Scream 4" actress begins revealing her other secret. "My mom told me to eat healthier, not for the outside, but for the inside. A lot of women feel like they have to eat healthy to be skinny, but for me, it's not about that."
To the publication, Emma also shares the story how she ends up pursuing an acting career like her father Eric Roberts and aunt
Julia Roberts. "I grew up around set.... I would visit my aunt all the time and I just loved it. I was fascinated by the whole thing. You'd have to drag me off the set every time I was there!" she says.
