Trace Cyrus announces the engagement news on his Twitter account, writing, 'I asked my girlfriend Brenda Song to marry me and she said YES!'
Brenda Song is going to be
Miley Cyrus's sister-in-law. The 23-year-old starlet, who is reportedly with
Trace Cyrus, is already engaged to the frontman of rock band
Metro Station. Announcing the engagement news was none other than Trace himself.
Trace took to his Twitter account on Friday afternoon, October 14 to share the happy news. He wrote, "I am very excited to say, last week I asked my girlfriend Brenda Song to marry me and she said YES! We are both very excited to be engaged!"
Brenda herself hasn't said anything, but the former Disney darling was caught on camera flashing what looks like an engagement sparkler in Los Angeles on Friday morning. Donning a casual black shirt, shorts and flip flops, the "
A Cinderella Story" actress was seen all smiles as she sported the bling on her left ring finger.
Miley seems to be very happy with her brother's engagement. She tweeted a supportive shoutout to her brother, writing, "@TraceCyrus can't wait for Brenda to be a Cyrus :) couldn't be more excited about my 'sister in law to be' yay :)."
Brenda and Trace have been dating since spring 2010. The two made their first public appearance back in May last year on the red carpet of Nylon's party. They also modeled the latest threads for Trace's Southern Made Hollywood Paid clothing line.
Back in August this year, a source revealed to E! News that Brenda was pregnant with Trace's baby. However, her mother Mai slammed the rumors a month later, claiming that her daughter is "actually not pregnant."
