Taylor Swift. The 24-year-old actor, who was known for portraying Troy Bolton in "High School Musical", had a dinner with the country singer at Pace, an Italian eatery in Los Angeles on Friday, January 6.
The two young stars reportedly arrived at the venue together in Zac's Audi, and shared an outdoor table at the corner. An onlooker from the spot told Us Weekly that the "
The Lorax" co-stars shared a flirty night, and "were deep in conversation and very giggly."
Despite the rumor, an insider close to Taylor insisted there's nothing romantic going on between the twosome. "They were in L.A. doing press stuff together, and after they were done, they decided to grab dinner," the insider explained the Friday outing.
A source from Zac's camp added, "They have been friends a long time." Another source did testify that "Taylor thinks Zac's cute," but she has no romantic feelings toward him because "they are on totally different wavelengths."
Indeed, Zac and Taylor have nothing but good words for each other. Back in late 2010, the "
New Year's Eve" actor called the "Ours" singer a "lovely girl, very beautiful," while she praised him as an "all-around amazing guy."
