Taylor Swift Receives Three Nominations at 2012 ACM Awards

In addition to the 'Mine' hitmaker, the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards also includes Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley on its nomination list.

Nominees of the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards have been announced, and Taylor Swift becomes the solo female singer who gets the most nods. She receives a total of three nominations including Entertainer of the Year, which she won last year.

To take home the coveted award at the 2012 ACM Awards, Swift is facing two of her last year's competitors Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley. The country/pop singer additionally has to beat Kenny Chesney and Blake Shelton in order to win the honor for two years in a row.

Swift gets her two other nods in Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year. In the former category, she has to defeat the likes of Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood. In the latter, she's up against Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, and Jason Aldean.

Other country music artists who collect multiple nominations were Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum. The "You and Tequila" singer dominates the list by scoring a total of nine noms, while the "Tattoos on This Town" crooner and the country music group are nominated for six and five awards respectively.

All nominations for this year's Academy of Country Music Awards, except for New Artist of the Year, were announced online for the first time via ACM digital press conference on its official Facebook and Twitter page. The New Artist of the Year won't be revealed until the end of January because the fans voting is still running.

The 2012 ACM Awards, meanwhile, will be held in a star-studded ceremony on Sunday, April 1. Dedicated to honor and showcase the biggest names and talents in the country music industry, the special event will be hosted by Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton. It's set to air live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8.00 P.M. ET/delayed PT on CBS.
