The 'Rolling in the Deep' hitmaker opts to perform on BBC One instead of on ITV because she 'was embarrassed by the way she was treated in front of millions of viewers by ITV.'
Adele was said taking a blatant move towards ITV, the TV network that aired 2012 BRIT Awards. The "Someone Like You" hitmaker refused to perform on its new primetime music show after her by host James Corden.
According to sources close to Adele, the London-born singer also turned down an invitation to appear on ITV's "The X Factor". She will instead perform on BBC One's "The Voice". The source said, "Adele was embarrassed by the way she was treated in front of millions of viewers by ITV."
"By turning down a music special with the network and also appearing on its main rival's music show she is giving them the ultimate one-fingered salute," the source went on. "Adele is the biggest British name in music at the moment and her refusal to work with ITV will hit them hard."
When attending the 2012 BRIT Awards earlier this week, Adele was said putting her brave face because her grandmother was still in hospital due to a heart attack. According to Sun, she's been in South Wales after knowing that the 68-year-old Rose collapsed in a supermarket.
A source claimed, "Adele was panic-stricken. It would have broken her heart to have lost her. She didn't leave her side until the doctors reassured her that her gran was on the mend."
