Winning the title for the fourth time, the Alex Russo of 'Wizards of Waverly Place' says the moment is shocking every year because 'there's so many great shows out there.'
Selena Gomez was overwhelmed by her big win at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, March 31. Being interviewed after snatching the Favorite TV Actress prize for her role as Alex Russo on "Wizards of Waverly Place", the 19-year-old beauty gushed, "It's crazy."
"This is the fourth time that I won TV actress. So it just kind of like shocking every year, because I mean there's so many great shows out there," she shared. "And just to be in it again, and again, it's just nice to be nominated. So, I'm so happy."
Selena received the Favorite TV Actress gong from Chris Colfer who got slimed earlier on the show. The "Monte Carlo" actress additionally took home Favorite Female Singer prize at the annual event presented by Nickelodeon.
Expressing her gratitude to her fans via her Twitter account, she wrote shortly after her double win, "Ahhhh thank you!!!! Still get super hyper at these awards lol so so so thankful!" The "Who Says" songstress beat Victoria Justice in both categories.
Selena's boyfriend Justin Bieber was another champion at the prize-giving event, grabbing Favorite Male Singer. Host Will Smith then declared the Canadian teen heartthrob as the recipient of the finale slime, before hinding behind him as the two got splashed with green slime from everywhere.
The "Boyfriend" singer then took to Twitter to share about his experience getting covered with the goo. "WILL GOT ME. CLASSIC. only 1 bad thing though. slime didnt come out," he claimed, hinting that he may need a hair cut. "hair grows back. looking like i did when i was 10. I havent shaved my head in a long time. feels kinda cool. i used to shave it every summer. all good. it grows back. anyway..."
Commenting on Justin who got slimed, Taylor Swift admitted she was "a little happy about that" because the host in the first episode of revived "Punk'd" has pranked her before. That night, the country music beauty got her own shining moment when first lady Michelle Obama presented her with "the big help" award.
